The author Arya Bhushan Bhardwaj, populary known as Arya, was born in
1945, Arya hails from a revolutionary family that struggled agaist
the British rule during the freedom movement. Arya's father was a
close associate of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and had spent 8 years in
British Jails. Arya's Grand uncle was a founder member of Gaddar
Party and had been sentenced for life imprisonment (1914-1937) by the
colonial rulers. Arya was laso imprisoned during the emergency rile
in 1975. |

Ayurveda has been a mission for Arya family for the last three
generations. Arya's father served the most backward villages of
Trans-Yamuna, Delhi with Bharat Sewak Samaj, for 25 years (1960-1985). Arya started his public service mission as a health
volunteer with his father at the age of 15. He has devoted his whole
life for the promotion of Gandhian way of life, Ayurveda and alternative medicines. For this mission Arya had
traveled to 26 countries around the world. Arya had authored 13 books and
contributed more than one hundred articles in various news papers
and journals in India and abroad. His three books have been translated into Italian, German and Japanese. |

Arya has been invited 50 times by the various universities and
international organizations in US, UK, Europe, Scandinavia, USSR &
Japan to conduct courses on Gandhi, non-violence, Ayurveda, Yoga and
Indian Philosophy. Arya founded center for study and research on
Alternative Medicine, CSRAM in 1984. Arya's motto in life is "Think
Positively Act Locally and Live Globally". Presently Arya and his
family live at Constructive Workers Home, Sadbhawana Arogya Dham,
Bhajanpura, North-East of Delhi |
